Thanks for the help re: Be aware of your first thought and consider going with that decision. I sometimes make a big event out of trying to decide whether or not to purge something from my house.

Lynne,

The corner shelving is compatible only with the Direct Mount System. The installation information is provided on the packaging, and we do indicate that it's installed using Direct Mount hardware. Unfortunately, a corner shelf is not offered for the FastTrack System.

We do apologize for any inconvenience. To speak with a representative, please contact our Consumer Service Department at 888-895-2110 Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET.

Sincerely,
Jamie

Very poor instructions with system. Bought the fasttrack system at Lowe's. They had no one to explain. Bought the corner shelf which now seems that is only for the direct mount system. But we had Lowe's cut the 12' freeslide in 2 pieces because the width of the corner shelf would make up the difference. Now we have 2 pieces that are too short because the fasttrack & direct mount system seem not to be compatible. Very frustrated after spending lots of money. Rubbermaid, is there a way to use the corner shelf with the fasttrack system?
This is not a cheap system.

Hi Frantonia,

Thanks for reading our blog. I truly believe you should "freely" - aka de-clutter - your closet at least (twice is better) a year. I find accessories are the hardest items to organize. For scarves, I use open bins and pull a bit out the scarf over the edge so I can see them all and remember what I have (and wear them!). I have also seem people use simple hangers to hang multiple scarves which seems to work well. For belts, you can us a hanger again. I personally use a belt organizer I found at Ikea. It is supposed to hand in your closet but I rigged it with command hooks to hang on my wall behind my bedroom door. I can quickly see and grab the belt I want that way.

Oh, purses! I have not truly figured out how to organize them. I just place them on a shelf. I have added a small bin for wallets and small clutches so they don't get lost. If you figure something out, let me know!

I hope that helps!
