Sealed containers organize more than your kitchen

Breakroom_001_3This morning I wandered into the 3rd floor break room for my usual water "refill" and more hot water for my tasty oatmeal breakfast. I was actually really impressed with how neat and tidy our counter tops were. Someone had organized all of the coffee items in Double Airtight Seal Canisters.

Not only was I amazed at how many options coffee drinkers have in the morning (I’m not a coffee person), but everything was easily accessible and in its place. Each canister even had its own lid snapped to the bottom. This is (and could be for your office) a GREAT way to organize stuff in a break room. We have a lot of open counter space. So, making things easily accessible – yet organized and clean – was a great idea. It’s even possible to store loose sugar in these containers because of the double airtight seal.

Breakroom_002_3 These see-through canisters also stack very well, so your kitchen pantry at home is another good candidate for an organizational overhaul. I think I’ll try it with my opened cereal boxes this weekend!

These bins for me are a necessity. We live near the ocean and the breeze constantly airs out our food making it stale really quick. These bins are perfect. We use them for crackers, chips, cereal. They last longer and are better organized. Nothing could be better.

I bought some rubbermaid containers from my local Walmart in Lancaster, Pa. When I took them home and tried to remove all the sticky labels from the containers, what a mess. Surely there must be a better way so the consumer doesn’t have to work so hard to remove all the labels and the sticky stuff left behind. They are very time consuming to remove not to mention hard on the nails. I hope something can be done!

I love using bins to organize just about anything. The fact that they are see through also makes them easy to find and you don’t have to worry about labels.
