Non-traditional uses for Rubbermaid products

How do you use your Rubbermaid products? Do the kids use the TakeAlong food containers as sand toys? Are you using Roughneck totes as recycling bins? Is there a silverware caddy in your desk drawer keeping it organized? Is there an Under Bed Gift Wrap storage container under your couch with building blocks in it?

We’d love to know the unique and interesting ways you use our products.  Feel free to share your creative ideas.  Next Thursday ‘ll pick the my favorite and make it a feature post for a few days.  Enjoy!

Unfortunately, the round 10 cup white food storage container is no longer available but it is PERFECT for diaper wipers. Take a roll of Bounty Big Roll Paper Towels, (use white because the prints double layer comes apart) and cut in half. Place the half roll in the container and pour a mixture of 1 Tblsp Baby Magic (use plain, the aloe will turn a sour smell) and 2 1/2 cups water over the roll. Allow paper towel to soak up the mixture then remove card board center. You can dispense baby wipes from the center, guilt free of how many you need. It is cheap! This saves soooo much money & you can continue to use them even as they grow to teens.

I use drawer dividers alternatively as narrow bins on open shelves. Great for bottles of medication and other small stuff you need to fit into tight spots, esp. if there is some depth that makes it hard to reach.
