Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop

1M15-spray-xlarge I am very happy to announce that Rubbermaid has just released a BRAND NEW product!! It is the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop. I have to say that this mop is GREAT. I was lucky enough to be one of the employees that got their hands on this baby early. It has a microfiber pad that is absolutely FABULOUS at picking up dirt, in fact it picks up 50% more dirt and dust per swipe than traditional sponge mops! The pad is reusable – simply throw it in your washing machine after mopping your floor to clean. The reusable pad means you no longer have to buy expensive disposable pads!

I really have enjoyed using this mop and creating my own solutions to use that I know will clean my floors. If you want more information, visit www.rubbermaid.com! Currently, the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop is only available for purchase online, so be one of the first to purchase by visiting the web site :) Reveal will be available in retail stores in late summer.

Rubbermaid Reveal products are now available at your local Target, Home Depot, and select Walmart stores. Also available at: Sam’s Club, Harris Teeter, Shoprite, Mills and Blain, Haggen’s, Meijer, Price Chopper, Wegmans, Hannaford.

You can also buy the Reveal Spray Mop and Microfiber Pads from rubbermaid.com!

    Hi Anne,
I’m sorry you can not find replacement pads! Target and Home Depot should have replacement pads. If you would like to find them at certain retailers, please talk to that retailer as they control what product they sell.
    Thanks,
    Erin

  2. Erin Gentry October 26, 2010 at 10:06 am #

    Me,
You’ll need to bring that up with Target. Unfortunately we cannot help you out with this.
    Thanks,
    Erin

Ordered the mop from Target the end of Sept it still has not shipped

Well, I am a little bit disappointed. I bought the last mop at Price Shopper, loved it and even did a review on it on my blog (http://greendogpet.blogspot.com/2010/10/product-review-rubbermaid-reveal-mop.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheGreenDogPetSupplies+%28the+Green+Dog+Pet+Supplies%29). The problem is that I can’t find another pad nowhere. I have been told at Home Depot and Price Shopper that the Reveal Mop was a special item and that they didn’t know when they would have more supplies for it. This morning, I saw that the pads were available at Rubbermaid website, and the shipping was the same price (0.01USD cheaper) than the pad. pne of the reason we got a Rubbermaid Reveal Mop, was to save money and I don’t see myself saving lots when I have to buy supplies online and pay shipping. I expect that if Price Shopper has the mop, it will continue to have it. Needless to say, next time I see a new product by Rubbermaid, I’ll wait a year or so before buying it.

This is the very first time ever that I have contacted a company to tell them WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I just bought this mop at shoprite for a very reasonable price on sale. I never wanted to spend more than $20.00 for any mop especially one’s with tanks to fill and empty pads to replace or by refills. I have large no gloss vinly kitchen floor that resembles ceramic tile, other cloth mops did not glide smoothly over the surface. I tried towels. shammies, and boxes of wetones, that really never cleaned it good, and it was a lot of work and effort. I don’t have any small children, but I do have a large German Shepard who’s hair is all over. I am so pleased with this product I could singggggggggg. I have the same large area in my dinning room, two bathrooms with large floor areas, now I can be done cleaning all the floors in one afternoon. Thank you for a great mop, I just wished I had come up the idea, like I said I used shammies with the swifter mops to get the floor clean like I just did with the Reveal, I will by stock in this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Anne,
Almost all retailers that sell the Reveal should also sell individual pads. I would check Target and Home Depot.
    Hope that helps!

Any coupons available for the mop? I don’t get the news paper so have no way to get one other then your site.

I live in Milwaukee, Wi and I have tired Walmart, Kmart, Target, Walgreens, Pick N Save(grocery store), Lowes and Manards, no one carries your product or has heard of this cleaning product. I have a $5.00 coupon that I cut out of the Journal Sentinel newspaper so I thought I would have no problems finding your product. No luck and I’m sure the coupon will soon expire. Any ideas.

    Lois,
In California, the Reveal can be found at Target, The Home Depot and Do It Best. Some retailers have reported selling out of the product so check with the individual stores to see if they have some stock.
    Good Luck!

I was interested in purchasing your Reveal mop but am unable to find one. I checked at the local Target, KMart, Walmart and RiteAid with no success. Where are they available in the Sacramento, CA area?

    Joyce,
In Canada, the mop will be available this weekend at Fortinos, Atlantic Superstore, SST Ontartio, SST West, YIG, Zehrs, Loblaws, Loblaws Quebec, Extra Foods, and Maxi and Co.
It should be available next weekend at Home Hardware. If it is not in store, ask a representative to order one to the store for you which they should be able to do.
    Thanks,
    Erin

  22. ellen October 13, 2010 at 5:27 pm #

I was soooo excited to see this product and more than a little disappointed. The next time they want to introduce one of these – they should really have me test it before release.
    Two major problems:
    1. the swivel “bolt” holding the pad/base assembly is way too loose. Falls off constantly when turning/pulling pad while mopping.
    2. The refillable bottle falls off when you knock against furniture – which I constantly do while mopping.
I’ll be returning mine. Back to the Bona – bummer.

  23. Joyce October 13, 2010 at 3:15 pm #

Where in Canada is this product available. I’ve tried looking at Canadian tire, zellers, walmart and so far no luck. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks:)

  24. Erin Gentry October 11, 2010 at 9:47 am #

    Hi Julie,
No it is not treated with microban. The pad is made from microfiber which is a type of fabric material.
    Thanks,
    Erin

    Hello,
I have tried many times to contact the customer service department however I just keep getting a recording that tells me all circuits are busy. Trying to reach you has been almost as frustrating as this mop is!
I loved the idea of the spray bottle and washable fabric as I have always used a vinegar solution for my floors. However I was immediately disappointed when I got the mop home.
First of all the mop does nothing more than move the dirt/dog hair around. Luckily I am a meticulous sweeper and there is only a small pile to clean up after I am done. Also when there is a spot on the floor that may be a bit hard to get off I have to get on my hands and knees to get it off with a cloth as the mop does not get any remotely tough spots. In addition to that the bottom of the mop constantly comes apart from the handle.
If Rubbermaid has any solutions to the issues I have raised here I would LOVE to hear them – it was a stretch for me to spend this kind of money on a mop but because of the Rubbermaid name I was willing to do it!
    Thank you.

I enjoy this new product. I just need to know where I can found a replacement pad. Also like because I can use my on cleanser.

  30. House Cleaner October 3, 2010 at 11:14 am #

Just a hint….you should not be using vinegar on hardwood floors. It will actually “etch” the finish on your floors over time.

  31. Marianne October 2, 2010 at 6:10 pm #

I am not able to find this mop in any of the targets, or walmarts or grocery stores or even KMart near me. I had to resort to ordering it online for $40.00. I hope it is worth it!!!

  32. CJ Baskel September 30, 2010 at 11:32 am #

Just like others, I just bought the mop last night and this morning I dry mopped my entire house (all tile) and then changed pads to wet mop. It works so well and I’m so excited…it took so much less time due to the size of the pads and I have no streaks on my tile..Yeah!!! You won’t be sorry if you purchase this mop .. and I LOVE that it’s easy to find replacements…they sell extra bottles, dry and wet pads. I bought some extra wet pads since my house is all tile. GREAT PRODUCT!

I would like to buy this mop, it’s sounds great, I like to be able to use my own clearning sol. I checked on one company they said it would take up to 3-5 weeks for shipping, I need one now , not next month Help!!
    Thanks Lace

  34. C M Stewart September 29, 2010 at 10:01 pm #

The best mo I’ve ever had!!
I purchased my new home 2 years ago in October. I have tile and wood lam flooring. I had tried everything, regular mops, cleaning systems, but the floors always came out looking hazy and filmy.
I purchased the Reveal Spray Mop and extra pad last week. My floors have never looked better!! Whether I use a cleaning solution or just use water, my floors look absolutely amazing. I’ll never try any other sort of mop. The Reveal Spray Mop has not only made cleaning easier, more effective, but it’s also made it easier on my pocket book! (not to mention the kids like mopping the floors now too :) )

  36. Erin Gentry September 27, 2010 at 3:35 pm #

    Hi Laurel,
Yes, you can use the Reveal on laminate flooring! Just check with your manufacturers recommendation when using your own cleaning solution.
    Thanks,
    Erin

  37. Laurel September 27, 2010 at 3:20 pm #

Is this mop recommended for laminate flooring? I have never found a product that is good enough yet.

Question? I just bought my Reveal from Home Depot- the bottle that came with the mop appears to have been crushed and does not fit properly into the mop and the extra pad I purchased appears to have been damaged at some point before I purchased it- but I could not see it because of the packaging! I tried to return it and they said I needed to take it up with rubbermaud since it’s their defect! Wow…. Seems like alot of trouble…. I’m quite disappointed. I realize things can happen to any product at any time during transit…. But man, this really stinks!

  40. Cindy September 24, 2010 at 4:41 pm #

I just bought this mop at Target yesterday. I cleaned my kitchen floor this morning. Although the mop seemed to pick up a lot of dirt, when I went over it with a paper towel for another reason the paper towel was dirty…very dirty. Wonder if I was just pushing around more dirt or if I should have rinsed the cloth half way through. I was kind of grossed out though. Do other users rinse the cloth out? Or do you use the cloth for the entire room?

I have owned my mop for about 2 hours now and thouight it would be the perfect mop for our new condo. I let water drip on the cap for about 15 minutes, as instructed on first use, but can not get water to spray from the reservoir. I bought mine today at Home Depot for $24.99 and there was a $5 off coupon recently in the Sunday coupon flyers. However, $19.99 plus tax for a mop that doesn’t “work” is still not a bargain. I’ll try again tomorrow but I think that this product is either defective or a generally poor design. Too early to tell, but regardless, I won’t be using THIS one.

I am so glad that you are excited! I hope you have a chance to test out the mop soon :)

  52. Erin Gentry September 20, 2010 at 3:54 pm #

Colleen – I’m not sure what you are looking at as we do not set prices but our retailers do. We make one Reveal mop that comes with a microfiber pad. There is a kit that we sell online that is a bit more expensive but it comes with extra microfiber pads and extra refillable bottles.

  53. Colleen Vliet September 20, 2010 at 10:20 am #

What is the difference in the reveal rubbermaid sprsy mop and thr microfiber rubbermaid reveal spray mop. There is a big difference in the cost.
    Thank you

    Colleen,
No batteries are required! The spray works without batteries.

  55. hasting September 19, 2010 at 6:21 pm #

Just an FYI – the “other company” has many people duped that the pads are made of paper. They are actually plastic and NOT bilodegradable….and will sit in landfill forever…

  56. Christine September 18, 2010 at 11:24 pm #

    Hi Folks.
I have been reading about the Rubbermaid Reveal and agree totally that Rubbermaid looks like it took a great idea and made it better. I want to check out the Reveal also. I have the “other brand” of mop and have used the bottle to mix my own solution for a couple of years. The pads? Found a cheap duvet cover at a thrift store, cut it to make a pad, double thickness, and sewed velcro loop on it, presto, reusable, washable pad…not nearly as good as a microfiber one though, I do admit. Now, for the rig I have made myself, I am STILL anxious to check out Rubbermaid’s Reveal…Rubbermaid IS one of the FEW brands I trust totally..can’t wait.

  59. Erin Gentry September 15, 2010 at 10:43 am #

Retailers should have pads and bottles that you can purchase separately to have extras!

  60. cherie September 15, 2010 at 8:05 am #

wow, I like what I hear so far. Many thanks to those who commented and answered before me. I have yet to visit my local target to grab a REVEAL for myself. I am moving and money is extremely tight. Is there any website where coupons are available? Im seeking a better way to clean. My new place is hardwood and tile throughout, and I am soo thankful RUBBERMAID stepped up to fix the many problems of the ‘other mop’! Cant wait to try it!

  61. Lori Stoute September 14, 2010 at 1:06 pm #

I agree with the extra pads. It should come with an extra one, or have them available seperately.
My place is wall to wall hard wood, so I need more than one for sure!!
The fact that you can use your own detergent is a GREAT idea. The store near me is always sold out of the other guys stuff and I have to wait to clean my floor. Very annoying.
I can’t wait to get one!!

  62. Deepa August 31, 2010 at 12:50 pm #

LOVE this mop. I am a very healthy, active 70 yr old but squeezing and wringing was getting beyond my capabilities. This makes mopping easy and not a chore any longer. Saw it at Home Depot and I am glad to hear other stores are picking it up since I am recommending it to family and friends. Oh yes, I added a few tablespoons of vinegar to the water and got “power” environnmentally friendly cleaning solution with no rinsing needed.

I just bought this mop yesterday at Target for 24.99 and a 2nd cloth for 3.99. I used it today for the first time and it was AWESOME!!!! By far the best mop EVER!!!!! The cloth really does pick up dirt great and absorbs great. I also have an almost 1800 sqft house and 1 pad cleaned my kitchen and dining room floors and both of the bathroom floors and I am sure if my whole house was tile the 1 pad would have done the whole house. This mop will put swiffer wet jet out of business!!!! Anyone wondering if it’s worth buying…..It most definitely is!!!!!

  68. Erin Gentry August 5, 2010 at 3:12 pm #

    Melissa,
The mop will be in retail at Canada in October :)

  69. melissa August 5, 2010 at 1:45 pm #

Do you know if it is or when it will be available in Canada?
Because I am really interested but the shipping & COD makes it not so economical.

  70. Erin Gentry July 29, 2010 at 9:32 am #

    Hi Laura,
The Home Depot and Target should have pads and bottles that you can buy separately. This should happen when they reset their stores in the next few weeks. Keep checking with your local retailers to see when they reset their stores.
Sorry I do not have a better answer than that! And yes, it is great to have that extra pad when one is in the wash :)

  71. Laura July 29, 2010 at 9:25 am #

Thank you. I called Home Depot and they have a good price but the lady said they do not have extra pads and bottles. Where will I be able to buy extras? I would like to have at least one extra pad.

  72. Erin Gentry July 29, 2010 at 8:11 am #

    Hi Laura,
Shipping and handling is actually $9.99 if you buy the mop from RubbermaidReveal.com.
At most retail stores, you will be able to buy the mop, one pad and one bottle together and then buy extra bottles and pads as you wish. We do not control the price at retail (we can only make suggestions) so the price will vary depending on the retailer.
Thanks for being interested in the mop! Let us know if you have any more questions.
    Thanks,
    Erin

  73. Laura July 28, 2010 at 6:33 pm #

I went to http://www.rubbermaidrevel.com to order one but it does not say how much shipping is. I read on here it’s $20 for shipping, so that is way too much. I will be waiting until it’s in retail stores. I wish I had known about is earlier so I could have gotten 3 pads and 2 bottles. I also found a coupon but it expired =(
What kind of price and package will be at the retail stores? (ie. ho many pads, bottles, etc.?)

  74. Erin Gentry July 27, 2010 at 8:05 am #

    Nancy,
The mop is currently available at The Home Depot. It will be in Target and select Wal-Marts the first or second week of August.
    Hope that helps!!

I noticed it says that the mop will be available in retail stores in late summer but how much later than the end of July?
I want to see one in person (I’m just like that!).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Received the replacement mop this week and used it yesterday. LOOOVE it. Already talking it up to my friends. Thanks Rubbermaid!

    Shris,
I just ordered mine off the website and as an early order I got 3 pads and 2 bottles. Shipping was $9.99 I used a $5 dollar off coupon that made the mop $24.99. They asked if I wanted to buy another mop for $29.99 and shipping is free on the second one. I just bought one.

I have to say I’m dissappointed. At first I was excited and willing to pay $29.99. Then there was the $20 for shipping and handling. So I thought “Ok, $49.99 is still not too bad. Then it arrives and I’m charged another $14.18 C.O.D. at the Post office, but not clear why. So now the mop has cost me $64.17 and when I get it home and open it the ‘upper’ and ‘lower mop assembly’ pieces will NOT snap together. The little clip that’s supposed to pop out and secure the two pieces remains snugly in its little hole. I squeeze the trigger and the bottom piece pops off. So, what do I do with a useless $65 mop?

Holy cow, Erin, this is great! My frustration with “the other” kind of spray mop is having to use their solution and always buy more pads. If I run out and need to mop, I’m stuck until I get to the store again. This is really a great coup for consumers looking for an easier way to mop without the added costs. I just saw that House Party will be taking host applications for this party soon, too. I think you’ll see a great response to this product.

The size of the cleaning ‘path’ on these mops is great. Puts my old paper refillable one to shame. Looking forward to snatching one of these in the near future. Thanks Rubbermaid!

    Shris,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m glad the mop has caught your attention. The microfiber does allow you to clean a large area without washing and this kit comes with an extra pad.
    Thanks for checking it out!!!

That looks awesome. I had that other kind of mop, and I even resorted to using cloth diapers on the thing to try to get a reusable pad. Hubby tried to modify the bottle so we could refill it with water, but that just didn’t work well.
I may have to get one of these..but I’d kinda like to be able to order a couple more of the pads too, so I can do one pad per room and get them all done in a short time, then wash them all for next time.
