I am very happy to announce that Rubbermaid has just released a BRAND NEW product!! It is the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop. I have to say that this mop is GREAT. I was lucky enough to be one of the employees that got their hands on this baby early. It has a microfiber pad that is absolutely FABULOUS at picking up dirt, in fact it picks up 50% more dirt and dust per swipe than traditional sponge mops! That looks awesome. I had that other kind of mop, and I even resorted to using cloth diapers on the thing to try to get a reusable pad. Hubby tried to modify the bottle so we could refill it with water, but that just didn’t work well.
I may have to get one of these..but I’d kinda like to be able to order a couple more of the pads too, so I can do one pad per room and get them all done in a short time, then wash them all for next time.

Holy cow, Erin, this is great! My frustration with “the other” kind of spray mop is having to use their solution and always buy more pads. If I run out and need to mop, I’m stuck until I get to the store again. This is really a great coup for consumers looking for an easier way to mop without the added costs. I just saw that House Party will be taking host applications for this party soon, too. I think you’ll see a great response to this product.

I have to say I’m dissappointed. At first I was excited and willing to pay $29.99. Then there was the $20 for shipping and handling. So I thought “Ok, $49.99 is still not too bad. Then it arrives and I’m charged another $14.18 C.O.D. at the Post office, but not clear why. So now the mop has cost me $64.17 and when I get it home and open it the ‘upper’ and ‘lower mop assembly’ pieces will NOT snap together. The little clip that’s supposed to pop out and secure the two pieces remains snugly in its little hole. I squeeze the trigger and the bottom piece pops off. So, what do I do with a useless $65 mop?

I just ordered mine off the website and as an early order I got 3 pads and 2 bottles. Shipping was $9.99 I used a $5 dollar off coupon that made the mop $24.99. They asked if I wanted to buy another mop for $29.99 and shipping is free on the second one. I just bought one.

I went to http://www.rubbermaidrevel.com to order one but it does not say how much shipping is. I read on here it’s $20 for shipping, so that is way too much. I will be waiting until it’s in retail stores. I wish I had known about is earlier so I could have gotten 3 pads and 2 bottles. I also found a coupon but it expired =(

At most retail stores, you will be able to buy the mop, one pad and one bottle together and then buy extra bottles and pads as you wish. We do not control the price at retail (we can only make suggestions) so the price will vary depending on the retailer.

The Home Depot and Target should have pads and bottles that you can buy separately. This should happen when they reset their stores in the next few weeks. Keep checking with your local retailers to see when they reset their stores.

I just bought this mop yesterday at Target for 24.99 and a 2nd cloth for 3.99. I used it today for the first time and it was AWESOME!!!! By far the best mop EVER!!!!! The cloth really does pick up dirt great and absorbs great. I also have an almost 1800 sqft house and 1 pad cleaned my kitchen and dining room floors and both of the bathroom floors and I am sure if my whole house was tile the 1 pad would have done the whole house. This mop will put swiffer wet jet out of business!!!! Anyone wondering if it’s worth buying…..It most definitely is!!!!!

LOVE this mop. I am a very healthy, active 70 yr old but squeezing and wringing was getting beyond my capabilities. This makes mopping easy and not a chore any longer. Saw it at Home Depot and I am glad to hear other stores are picking it up since I am recommending it to family and friends. Oh yes, I added a few tablespoons of vinegar to the water and got “power” environnmentally friendly cleaning solution with no rinsing needed.

The fact that you can use your own detergent is a GREAT idea. The store near me is always sold out of the other guys stuff and I have to wait to clean my floor. Very annoying.

I have been reading about the Rubbermaid Reveal and agree totally that Rubbermaid looks like it took a great idea and made it better. I want to check out the Reveal also. I have the “other brand” of mop and have used the bottle to mix my own solution for a couple of years. The pads? Found a cheap duvet cover at a thrift store, cut it to make a pad, double thickness, and sewed velcro loop on it, presto, reusable, washable pad…not nearly as good as a microfiber one though, I do admit. Now, for the rig I have made myself, I am STILL anxious to check out Rubbermaid’s Reveal…Rubbermaid IS one of the FEW brands I trust totally..can’t wait.
Just an FYI – the “other company” has many people duped that the pads are made of paper. They are actually plastic and NOT bilodegradable….and will sit in landfill forever…

What is the difference in the reveal rubbermaid sprsy mop and thr microfiber rubbermaid reveal spray mop. There is a big difference in the cost.

Colleen – I’m not sure what you are looking at as we do not set prices but our retailers do. We make one Reveal mop that comes with a microfiber pad. There is a kit that we sell online that is a bit more expensive but it comes with extra microfiber pads and extra refillable bottles.

Are the pads treated with microban?
I have owned my mop for about 2 hours now and thouight it would be the perfect mop for our new condo. I let water drip on the cap for about 15 minutes, as instructed on first use, but can not get water to spray from the reservoir. I bought mine today at Home Depot for $24.99 and there was a $5 off coupon recently in the Sunday coupon flyers. However, $19.99 plus tax for a mop that doesn’t “work” is still not a bargain. I’ll try again tomorrow but I think that this product is either defective or a generally poor design. Too early to tell, but regardless, I won’t be using THIS one.

I just bought this mop at Target yesterday. I cleaned my kitchen floor this morning. Although the mop seemed to pick up a lot of dirt, when I went over it with a paper towel for another reason the paper towel was dirty…very dirty. Wonder if I was just pushing around more dirt or if I should have rinsed the cloth half way through. I was kind of grossed out though. Do other users rinse the cloth out? Or do you use the cloth for the entire room?
Question? I just bought my Reveal from Home Depot- the bottle that came with the mop appears to have been crushed and does not fit properly into the mop and the extra pad I purchased appears to have been damaged at some point before I purchased it- but I could not see it because of the packaging! I tried to return it and they said I needed to take it up with rubbermaud since it’s their defect! Wow…. Seems like alot of trouble…. I’m quite disappointed. I realize things can happen to any product at any time during transit…. But man, this really stinks!

I purchased my new home 2 years ago in October. I have tile and wood lam flooring. I had tried everything, regular mops, cleaning systems, but the floors always came out looking hazy and filmy.
I purchased the Reveal Spray Mop and extra pad last week. My floors have never looked better!! Whether I use a cleaning solution or just use water, my floors look absolutely amazing. I’ll never try any other sort of mop. The Reveal Spray Mop has not only made cleaning easier, more effective, but it’s also made it easier on my pocket book! Just like others, I just bought the mop last night and this morning I dry mopped my entire house (all tile) and then changed pads to wet mop. It works so well and I’m so excited…it took so much less time due to the size of the pads and I have no streaks on my tile..Yeah!!! You won’t be sorry if you purchase this mop .. and I LOVE that it’s easy to find replacements…they sell extra bottles, dry and wet pads. I bought some extra wet pads since my house is all tile. GREAT PRODUCT!

Just a hint….you should not be using vinegar on hardwood floors. It will actually “etch” the finish on your floors over time.

I have tried many times to contact the customer service department however I just keep getting a recording that tells me all circuits are busy. Trying to reach you has been almost as frustrating as this mop is!
I loved the idea of the spray bottle and washable fabric as I have always used a vinegar solution for my floors. However I was immediately disappointed when I got the mop home.
First of all the mop does nothing more than move the dirt/dog hair around. Luckily I am a meticulous sweeper and there is only a small pile to clean up after I am done. Also when there is a spot on the floor that may be a bit hard to get off I have to get on my hands and knees to get it off with a cloth as the mop does not get any remotely tough spots. In addition to that the bottom of the mop constantly comes apart from the handle.
If Rubbermaid has any solutions to the issues I have raised here I would LOVE to hear them – it was a stretch for me to spend this kind of money on a mop but because of the Rubbermaid name I was willing to do it!

I was soooo excited to see this product and more than a little disappointed. The next time they want to introduce one of these – they should really have me test it before release.
Two major problems:
1. the swivel “bolt” holding the pad/base assembly is way too loose. Falls off constantly when turning/pulling pad while mopping.
2. The refillable bottle falls off when you knock against furniture – which I constantly do while mopping.
I’ll be returning mine. Back to the Bona – bummer.

I live in Milwaukee, Wi and I have tired Walmart, Kmart, Target, Walgreens, Pick N Save(grocery store), Lowes and Manards, no one carries your product or has heard of this cleaning product. This is the very first time ever that I have contacted a company to tell them WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I just bought this mop at shoprite for a very reasonable price on sale. I never wanted to spend more than $20.00 for any mop especially one’s with tanks to fill and empty pads to replace or by refills. I have large no gloss vinly kitchen floor that resembles ceramic tile, other cloth mops did not glide smoothly over the surface. I tried towels. shammies, and boxes of wetones, that really never cleaned it good, and it was a lot of work and effort. I don’t have any small children, but I do have a large German Shepard who’s hair is all over. I am so pleased with this product I could singggggggggg. I have the same large area in my dinning room, two bathrooms with large floor areas, now I can be done cleaning all the floors in one afternoon. Thank you for a great mop, I just wished I had come up the idea, like I said I used shammies with the swifter mops to get the floor clean like I just did with the Reveal, I will by stock in this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I am a little bit disappointed. The problem is that I can’t find another pad nowhere. I have been told at Home Depot and Price Shopper that the Reveal Mop was a special item and that they didn’t know when they would have more supplies for it. This morning, I saw that the pads were available at Rubbermaid website, and the shipping was the same price (0.01USD cheaper) than the pad. pne of the reason we got a Rubbermaid Reveal Mop, was to save money and I don’t see myself saving lots when I have to buy supplies online and pay shipping. I expect that if Price Shopper has the mop, it will continue to have it. Needless to say, next time I see a new product by Rubbermaid, I’ll wait a year or so before buying it.
