As you might have seen, I have another stash at my desk – that post here. This bag stash is a little more incognito. When I moved to a new cube, I realized that I was using a step stool for my footrest that actually belonged to someone else who was letting me borrow it (unbeknownst to me. oops!). After I returned the step stool to its rightful owner, she asked "Did you get everything out of it?" I had no idea that the step stool actually had a storage compartment. BRILLIANT!
Here is my new solution in my new space…
As I set up my new workspace, I was in search of a footrest – and keeping in mind the step stool storage space that I never used in my previous footrest, I snagged a roughneck tote. It is the perfect height to rest my feet, AND it offers hidden storage. I use it to keep any plastic bags that I get at work (from on-the-go lunches or lunchtime shopping trips, etc.). It functions great as a footrest and keeps my bags handy if I need one – to carry things home from work, for any on-the-go meals, as packing material to ship a package, etc. I found all sorts of other uses for plastic bags here!
