Our Organization University team recently hosted a stealth attack…..Organization Day. Knowing that dedicating time to setting up systems and maintainence is key, we wanted to provide a time and all the tools our employees would need. We put a company wide meeting on the calendar and once everyone showed up….surpise!!!
We hired two local Professional Organization businesses, Working Simply and Simplicity, for a total of 5 professional organizers. Carson with Working Simply led the group by teaching basic office organization techniques. We then split up into departments and everyone had to get their electronic files, physical spaces, and email organized, with the tips & tricks from the professionals.
We had a product room where people could shop for our organization products, along with office org tools given by our sister company. We had label makers galore!
We also set up huge stations where employees could put their cardboard to recycle, plastic to recycle, trash and donations. Our local Habitat for Humanity came to pick up the donations which definitely benefitted us by having the unneeded items removed, and also benefitted their local charity.
Everyone loved the time and having the tools at hand. Our executives judged everyone for their transformation, use of the tips given, creativity and teamwork. In the end, the Marketing team won. We were awarded a pizza lunch for our prize. Check out a few photos:
