Where do I store away my dirty clothes until I get around to washing them? No ugly hamper, only 6 foot closet.

Thanks for your question! Many of us do use hampers (either single- or three-compartment models) to collect our dirty clothing until laundry day. But, there are other options that can work well, too.

Under the bed

The space under the bed is often used for storing seasonal items. Why not use it as a spot for dirty laundry? Depending on the volume of clothing you have and how often you do laundry, this could be an ideal, out-of-sight location.

Behind the door

You can also use an over-the-door laundry bag or hang one behind the door on a sturdy hook.

Inside the closet

If you have some space inside your closet, try using an open container.

Non-traditional hamper

Forgo the traditional hamper and use something a little more aesthetically pleasing, like this bag with oversized handles.
