How do we store tools and bulky outdoor gear we use approx 2x per month? We have a narrow, deep closet.

When you’re storing supplies that you need to use fairly often, having easy access to them will be essential. Since your shelves are deep, you’ll probably need to store the container with your most used items toward the front of your shelf.

You can use sturdy, plastic containers (remember to add labels!) to store your tools and outdoor gear, and I’d recommend the Rubbermaid All Access™ Organizers. They come in three sizes (small, medium, and large) and have a drop-down door so that you can reach the contents easily — even if you store one in front of the other. If you need to get to the contents of a container at the back of the shelf, you can easily reach inside the access door once you move the container at the front of the shelf.
